Why It Matters
The Difference Is
In the Materials.
Not every resurfacing system is the same. Here's what separates an engineered composite approach from a commodity coating.
Advanced Resin System Chemistry
We don't stop at standard isophthalic resin. Fibre Tech uses a 100% isophthalic bond coat to create a strong adhesive bridge between prepared concrete and our fiberglass system. Our fiberglass laminate and top coat then utilize an advanced isophthalic/vinyl ester blend for improved chemical resistance, water resistance, and long-term durability. Material selection matters.
Structural Reinforcement, Not Just Coating
The Owens Corning fiberglass mat embedded in our system bridges existing cracks and resists future cracking. A coating sits on top of a problem. Our system encapsulates and reinforces it.
Proper Preparation First
We grind, assess, and repair before we apply anything. Most resurfacing failures trace back to inadequate substrate preparation. We don't take shortcuts at the step that matters most.
Proprietary Bonding Technology
FibreLock Kote™ is our proprietary bonding agent — developed specifically to create a reliable adhesive bridge between aged concrete and our composite layers. It's a key reason our system stays bonded where others peel.
40+ Years of Material Knowledge
We've been doing this since 1986 — before fiberglass resurfacing became a commodity. We know what works across different pool types, climates, and water chemistries because we've seen what fails over decades.
25-Year Warranty — And We Mean It
Our warranty isn't marketing language. It's a reflection of our confidence in the system. A company offering a 25-year warranty on a pool surface has strong incentive to get the installation right the first time.
We are not the cheapest option.
That is intentional.
Premium materials and proper preparation cost more upfront. They also cost significantly less over the 10–25 year lifespan of the surface. Our customers understand this distinction — and that's exactly the customer we build for.
